Disc Golf Disc Customizer

Challenge

The existing process for receiving customers’ photos via email and manually managing internal workflows for custom orders was time-consuming and inefficient.

Solution

QCM Media designed and developed a custom application for dynamicdiscs.com, featuring an interactive disc golf disc customizer. This tool allows customers to easily personalize their discs by adding images and text, simplifying the custom order process from start to finish.

The customizer lets users select a disc variant, choose a background color, upload and adjust a custom image, and add text in various sizes, fonts, and styles. Customers can preview and approve their designs before proceeding to checkout.

To enhance the shopping experience, the cart and checkout pages are tailored to display the finalized custom disc design, ensuring a seamless and intuitive purchase flow.

Back Office

Customized disc golf disc orders are processed through Shopify as usual, while also being displayed in a dedicated custom interface that syncs with a Google Cloud sheet. This integration streamlines internal collaboration, making production and fulfillment management more efficient and transparent.

From any size of mobile device users can upload images, manipulate text shape, font, color, and size as well as preview and approve a proof, and agree to terms before adding to cart.

Management Systems

Custom disc golf disc order information is saved to a dedicated interface that is synced with Shopify's admin and a custom Google Cloud spreadsheet for managing customer images stored on AWS, and producing and fulfilling custom orders. The spreadsheet can be updated on demand and edited to track activity.
Custom Interface
When a custom disc golf disc order is placed, the order information including a preview of the custom disc is sent to Shopify admin and is also sent to a customer interface where admins can see the customers order details such as order number, customer name, product sku, and uploaded image.
Synced Google Sheet
From the custom interface admins can update a shared Google Cloud spreadsheet to collaborate on order production and fulfillment.
